SIP is a pilot spot for modern logistics and electronic customs declaration system in China. It is also the first batch of 15 Export Processing Zones, featuring advanced modern logistics system.
SIP enjoys efficient and green lane and independent customs management. Approved by General  Administration of Customs, an independent customs is created in SIP, with green lane directly linking to Shanghai ports and Import&Export Distribution Centre owning full functions of inland port.
Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economy and General Administration of Customs clearly demonstrate: With the Air-Land Trans-shipment Model, supervised warehouses of the Shanghai Airport are extended directly to SIP, making import and export declaration possible at the local customs---SIP Customs. This function realizes a one-stop service for declaration, inspection and dispatch, and offers flexibility in the arrival, declaration, inspection and clearance of goods.
 SIP Customs offers 7/24 and no holiday service. Owing to advanced declaration and batch transfer between Customs, declaration, inspection and clearance of goods whenever it arrives can be substantially carried out. With sound electronic customs declaration and monitor system, EDI system has already replaced the use of processing trade manual. Bills of import raw materials, parts and export commodities are all put on file.
With 44 ha for initial phase and 1.5 sq km for second phase, Export Processing Zone has been enclosed to operate. Inflow of commodities outside into the Zone can be viewed as export, enjoying tax rebate. Enterprises outside who downstream process the products of those inside are able to apply to carry forward. |
